Nina Kruger, a contemporary fiber artist, holds a BA Fine Arts degree from the University of Pretoria and an MA degree from The Magdalena Abakanowicz University of Art in Poznań, Poland. With seven years of professional experience in the commercial textile industry, Kruger’s art practice is enriched by both academic training and practical application.
Her recent exhibitions include participation in the Poznań Textile Biennale and the I Dreamt of an Empty Forest exhibition alongside fellow alumni and lecturers from UAP in 2023. Kruger has received accolades such as the Rector’s Scholarship at The Magdalena Abakanowicz University of Art in Poznań, and the second merit award at the Barclays Africa L’Atelier Competition which led to a residency at Sylt Kuns Raum in Germany.
