Dirk Jonker Awarded First Prize in Melkbos Ateljee 2024 Doodle Competition
Rules:
1. The doodle must express the character of Melkbosstrand, and the artwork must be easily identified as being from the Melkbosstrand area.
(Think about our gorgeous sites, sea, people, and businesses, whatever that makes Melkbos unique.)
2. Doodles must be hand-drawn (no computer or AI art).
3. DO NOT ADD YOUR NAME TO THE DOODLE ART.
4. Format any size from A4 to A3.
5. Doodles can be monochromatic or coloured.
6. There is no age limit.
7. By submitting the artwork for the competition, The winners of the Melkbos Doodle Competition automatically agree that their work and identities will be made public, presented at the Melkbos Ateljee Open Studio event on September 21-22, 2024, and used for digital promotion.
- First Place: The doodle artwork and name of the winner will be displayed at Melkbos Ateljee Open Studios event. The winning Doodle artwork (or a portion of it) will appear on the map of the Melkbos Ateljee Open Studios event (The map is printed and digital). The winning Doodle artwork (or a portion of it) and the artist's name will appear in What's On in Cape Town digital marketing. In addition, a sponsored voucher will be provided.
- Second Place: The doodle artwork and name of the winner will be shown at the Melkbos Ateljee Open Studios event. In addition, a sponsored coupon will be provided.
- Third Place: The doodle artwork and name of the winner will be displayed at Melkbos Ateljee Open Studios event. In addition, a sponsored voucher will be provided.
Three longtime locals who are aware of the distinctive qualities of the Melkbosstrand region will serve as judges. They take an active interest in local affairs and are concerned with the area's social, economic, and general growth.
