From the River to the Sea, Palestine will soon be free Benefit Group Exhibition

Exhibiting artists, writers, academics: Neil Badenhorst, Rana Bishara, Ralph Borland, Shaifali Bramdev, Tasneem Chilwan, Annemi Conradie, Alex Dodd, Chris van Eeden, Gary Frier, Dan Halter, Ilhaam Khan, Susan Levine, Virginia MacKenny, Nawawi Mathews, Nathi Ngubane, Natasha Norman, Ruth Sacks, Leonard Shapiro, Stacey Stent, Colijn Strydom, Donovan Ward & Liezl the Weasel.


Each of the artists, writers and academics on this exhibition were invited to select an illustrated page from illustrator and cartoonist Nathi Ngubane’s colouring book titled, From the River to the Sea

They were then given their selected illustration enlarged and printed onto a canvas measuring 780mmx 550mm. Each artist then engaged creatively with their canvas. The result is a collection of varied yet linked artworks.

Solidarity Exhibition. Proceeds from the sale of the artworks will purchase pencil crayons and colouring books for children in need at schools in South Africa. The organisers of this exhibition are truly grateful to each of the artists for their generosity.
