From 9 - 22 October 2025, Natasha Norman will be attending the first workshop as part of the Comprehensive Archive & Talent-Development Programme hosted by the Art Research Center (ARC) at Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, Japan. The workshop will be a tour and digital archiving project. We will visit traditional washi paper production sites (Kyoto; Ino (KoĢchi); Mino (Gifu); Echizen (Fukui) and connect with the University washi research centre. The workshop is the start of a year-long engagement with the Art Research Centre at Ritumeikan during which we will create artworks and presentations in response to the fieldresearch at the washi paper making sites in Japan to further the development and preservation of Japanese woodblock printing techniques.
